Office

The office was founded in 1999 in Zurich and Amsterdam. Blue Architects has realized a wide range of projects from small-scale renovations to large-scale masterplans in Switzerland and abroad. We cherish collaborating with different clients and a broad spectrum of specialists from all sectors to look for innovative solutions satisfying clients and users.

2012: Interieur Design Award in the category Space for the 23rd Interieur Biennale in Kortrijk, Belgium for The Formable Wall; 2nd prize in the open competition for the Agrovet agricultural Research center ETH in Lindau; Prix Lignum recognition for Sportcenter Sargans; Best architects 12 distinction for Tanzhaus Zürich
2010: Innovative housing project for sustainable city development distinction of the canton Bern for the Masterplan Papillon in Köniz
2009: 1st prize in the selected competition for the St. Thomas church in Inwil; 2nd prize in the selected competition for the Gymnasium of Landquart
2008: 1st prize in the open competition in 2 stages for the Masterplan Papillon in Köniz; 1st prize in the open competition for the Sportcenter Sargans; 2nd prize in the open competition in 2 stages for the Maison de la Paix in Geneva
2007: Holzbaupreis Berner Oberland for Châlet Lauenen
2006: 1st prize in the open competition for the extension of the youth detention facility in Uitikon
2005: 1st prize in the limited competition for the renovation of the Tanzhaus Zürich; 1st prize in the limited competition for the renovation of the Helvetas Headquarters in Zürich
2001: 1st prize in the dutch open competition in two phases for the Prix de Rome.
